Biodegradable funeral urns
Biodegradable urns which when placed in their final resting place allow the loved one's ashes to be returned to the biosphere. The family can use Limbo urns to deposit the ashes in the environment they choose, be it at sea, on land or in any other natural setting, without affecting the environment.

Biodegradable urns to deposit ashes in the sea or rivers
These models of urns are hand crafted and are made fully out of natural and biodegradable materials, which naturally break down and are returned to nature in coastal areas or in the sea. The urns are made solely out of sand or salt and vegetable binding agents.

Biodegradable urns for planting a tree or to be deposited in the ground or rivers
These models of urns are hand made using only natural and biodegradable materials, which can be naturally recycled in the soil (mountains, gardens, parks, etc.). They are made only out of earth or olive stones, organic vegetable substrate and vegetable binding agents.

Ecological urns for storing ashes
The Altea model storage urns are made from an ecological material derived from sugar cane, which is resistant, light and long-lasting.

Our biodegradable urns - features
Manufacturing process and craftsmanship
Because our product is made by hand, with special details, it conveys a special feeling, it is more than a simple urn. All our products are made in Europe.

Natural and biodegradable materials
All our biodegradable urns are manufactured with natural materials. They are handmade, using carefully assembled pieces to create unique items, each of which is different.

Resistance and solubility
Our urns remain solid when kept at home, but as soon as they are buried or come into contact with a moist environment, they disintegrate and become part of it.

Manufacturing of our urns - concept and innovation
Urns made with materials that merge with the environment so that you can deposit them in any natural setting. Our urns remain solid when kept at home, but as soon as they are buried or come into contact with a moist environment, they disintegrate and become part of it.

Manufactured in-house
Limbo produces its own urns with a unique process developed in-house, which we have steadily improved over the last 15 years.

Natural raw materials
Our urns are made out of materials which are totally natural and easily absorbed by the environment. The product is made completely out of natural sources—sand, soil, salt or plant fibres—and once it has served its purpose it returns to nature.

Craftsmanship
We carefully make our urns by hand, paying great attention to every detail so as to produce unique creations.

Fully biodegradable
Your pet's ashes will return to the natural environment in an environmentally friendly container made out of natural raw materials and made by hand through a unique process.

How does the process work?

Isolation of the ashes
The ashes are placed in a water-soluble bag.

The bag is closed
The water-soluble bag with ashes is placed inside the urn and closed

If the urn is going to be placed in the sea,
We recommend that you do so only in the designated areas. Port authorities can tell you the nearest authorised areas (if any). Once there, you can say a few words as a form of tribute to your pet and place the urn in the water.

If the urn is going to be placed on land,
Make sure the urn does not contain salt. Choose a suitable location (see legal restrictions in your area). Bury the urn approximately 40cms deep. If you wish, place a seedling on the closed urn before covering the hole with soil. Make sure the soil is moist so that the urn can begin to dissolve and the tree can begin to grow.
